Ivan Davis

Ivan Davis is Texas-born, and his many awards include the Casella Competition, the International Busoni Competition, and the Franz Liszt Competition. Mr. Davis has performed with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Cleveland Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony and the Philadelphia Orchestra, as well as the National Orchestra of Spain and three of London's reigning orchestras. He made his European recital debut at the Festival of Two Worlds, Spoleto, and has has appeared in recital in Great Britain and throughout the United States and Canada, including performances in Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Place des Arts (Montreal). Mr. Davis has a vast knowledge of opera and vocal music, and he is a frequent guest on the Metropolitan Opera's intermission broadcasts. Ivan Davis has recorded with Lorin Maazel and the Cleveland Orchestra, and with Eugene Ormany and the Philadelphia Orchestra, as well as with the Royal Philharmonic, with conductors Henry Lewis and Edwin Downes.
