Stacy Sullivan, winner of the Backstage Bistro Award and the MAC Award for Outstanding Female New York Debut, has appeared in venues across the country, from Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York to the Ford Theatre in Hollywood.Joined by seasoned jazz master Jon Weber, Stacy’s show “A Tribute To Miss Peggy Lee,” has been gaining critical acclaim and filling venues from coast to coast as an interpretive exploration of the extraordinary music and personal struggles of a singer, composer, and actress whose remarkable career spanned over six decades, influencing jazz and popular-music culture worldwide.Stacy has recorded five albums for the LML Music label, including her latest CD, “It’s a Good Day,” featuring Bucky Pizzarelli, which introduces a never-released song, “The Folks Back Home,” written by Peggy Lee and Paul Horner. Garnering MAC Award nominations for Best Recording , Stacy’s CDs “It’s a Small Town” and "West on 40," along with her holiday recording “Cold Enough to Snow,” are contemporary treatments of mostly standards, marrying her love of jazz, country, Broadway, and cabaret.Theatrical performances include Christine in the Yeston/Kopit"Phantom" (Los Angeles Premiere,) Rosabud in "The Mystery of EdwinDrood" (West Coast Premiere, with George Rose and Karen Morrow,) and Toby Bluth’s "Babes in Toyland" (World Premiere,with Robert Morse.) Live performances include Cabaret Conventions in New York and San Francisco, the Pasadena Pops Orchestra w/John Raitt, Knoxville Symphony w/KT Sullivan, and "Lyrics and Lyricists" (92nd Street Y) w/Andrea Marcovicci.The seventh of eight children, Stacy grew up performing family concerts in Oklahoma with her gifted siblings and mother, Elizabeth Sullivan. Graduating from Tulsa University, Stacy was fortunate to study with famed voice teacher, Laven Sowell, becoming the soprano soloist in Hayden's "Teresa Mass" and the Mozart "Requiem,” among others. While her film and televsion credits consist mostly of small movies, soap operas, guest spots, and commercials, Stacy was thrilled to create the role of Sissel Jorgensen on the award-winning, television series, “Christy,” starring Tyne Daly and Kellie Martin. Stacy lives in New York City with her husband, Jeff Brown. Their children, Sullivan Brown and Savannah Brown are students at UCLA.
